MAC Launch

The official launch of the brand new 18 million pound Metropolitan Arts Centre – MAC was a very swish affair in the lavish surroundings of the Harbour Commissioners Office. There was opening speeches by First Minister Peter Robinson, Deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness and the Director of the Arts Council Bob Collins. A new commission

so yea, it’s happening. The ’I-move’ project, part of the Cultural Olympiad in Yorkshire has commissioned us to bring an outdoor show to six major towns and cities across Yorkshire next summer. This commission couples up with the one from the MAC Belfast. Exciting stuff! We’ll be making loads of new material. I’m gonna ask Justin Bieber to write the music. I-Move

Amy Conroy won Best Female Performer at the Dublin Fringe for her role in The Eternal Rising of the Sun. I take all the credit of course. Well done Amy, deserved win. And by the way everyone – I heart Alice heart I also by Amy Conroy is currently running in the Dublin Theatre Festival. That show won two awards at last years fringe. ponydance and the Rubberbandits

We performed with the Rubberbandits at Electric Picnic. I can confirm the urban myths… We have never seen the Rubberbandits without their plastic bags, but we did notice they wore a different sort of bag for rehearsals. We were not allowed talk to them directly, only via their staff and we had to hide under a rug while they entered the building so we didn’t know which direction they came from.
