About us

ponydance are on a mission to bring humorous, heart warming, honest, entertainingdance to lots of people everywhere. We are passionate about dance, the importance of the arts in people's lives and performing. We'd like to share that with you.

We are an Irish based company and have performed all over the Island, in France, Australia, Tasmania and most recently in Edinburgh as part of the Fringe Festival.

ponydance was founded in 2004 by Leonie McDonagh (top), ably assisted by Paula O'Reilly (bottom) and joined by Carl Harrison (second from top), Neil Hainsworth (second from bottom) and Oona Doherty (hiding in the frozen food section).

We aim to make great dance shows you would love to come and see again, so far we've been successful, because lots of people have come to see us twice! We work on a project basis, whenever time and money allows us, but with out much money, usually it's just time. We also facilitate workshops, do corporate events and have even been spotted performing at birthday parties!
